Copertina a dir poco essenziale per il ritorno di una grande star. Chris Stapleton è stato insignito di 5 Grammy®, 10 Country Music Award, 7 Academy of Country Music Award (dalla stessa giuria che lo ha nominato – primo artista designato come tale – “Artist-Songwriter of the Decade”) e 5 Billboard Music Award. Il tutto a valle di successi straordinari (il suo album di debutto “The Traveller” è ormai al quarto disco di platino, rappresentando la metà degli 8 milioni di dischi venduti – ad oggi – dal cantante e compositore). Il nuovo album STARTING OVER – completato in febbraio, pochi giorni prima del lockdown – parla di gioie e problemi: della vita, insomma. Del quadro fanno parte anche tre cover (una dell’amico John Fogerty, due di Guy Clark). Il tutto è stato registrato nella ‘seconda casa’ di Stapleton: la mitica A Room degli RCA Studios di Nashville. Ospiti Mike Campbell alla chitarra, Benmont Tench all’organo Hammond e Paul Franklin alla pedal steel guitar.
